Whistleblower Directive at PCE

PC Electric GesmbH (PCE - St. Martin im Innkreis site) is obliged to implement an EU directive and set up a whistleblowing channel. With the whistleblowing answering machine, we provide a secure internal reporting channel for whistleblowers. This can be used by all employees, but also by other persons who have a business relationship with PCE, without having to fear negative consequences.

WHEN should a message be made?
The whistleblowing answering machine should only be used to report serious breaches involving PCE employees or other company stakeholders.
Company stakeholders are involved. For example:

  • White-collar crimes such as bribery, theft, fraud and forgery and other accounting and tax violations.
  • Conflicts of interest between employees and the PCE.
  • Discrimination and harassment
  • Other serious irregularities that endanger the vital interests of the PCE or the health of employees.

WHERE/HOW can I make a report?
The answering machine can be reached around the clock at the following number: +43 7751 / 6122 567.

HOW should the report be made?

  • What happened and when?
  • Which person(s) is/are involved?
  • Where did it happen?
  • Was the violation a one-off or repetitive?
  • Is there any evidence?
  • Other relevant information
  • Contact information (if requested)

Handling a report received
First, an authorised staff member reviews the report. The first steps are then taken. Reports are treated confidentially and the presumption of innocence applies to the accused.

Confidentiality
Messages are treated confidentially. The answering machine is password-protected and is only listened to by authorised persons. Calls cannot be traced. If notification of the receipt of one's tip as well as further action is desired, please provide contact details. This would also help us in case of queries.

Protection of whistleblowers
There are special protections for whistleblowers:

  • strong protection of identity
  • the prohibition of reprisals
  • the reversal of the burden of proof
